Introducing Avakara
I create names for a living. This time, I felt the need for a new baby name. A unisex name derived from Sanskrit. I was looking for something that could express the idea of a divine creator, but the options felt limiting.
There were overtly theistic names like Brahma, Prajapati, Vishnu, Vishwakarma, and Saraswati. Then there was Vidhaata, which had more of a destiny-decider feel. Kartar felt too Punjabi. Nirmata sounded more like a producer.
What I wanted was a name with a global sound. Something fresh, meaningful, and universal. Since I couldn’t find one, I decided to create it.
I fused two Sanskrit words: Avatar, which means divine incarnation, and Kara, which means creator. The result is Avakara, pronounced uh-va-car-ra.
The name literally means Divine Creator. It has a graceful sound and a strong, positive energy. It felt exactly right. #Avakara
