that they have the power to vote

where the same parties get selected
and the usual suspects get elected

where a dynasty rules
by dividing the fools

where the courts take all the calls
while the parliament is busy with brawls

where the majority is in minority
and the minority is in majority

where the weak become strong
by bending rights wrong

where everyone talks the talk
and no one walks the walk

where the wise don’t speak
and the outspoken are meek

where growth is excruciatingly slow
and yet everyone goes with the flow

where the public stays impassive
even when problems pile up massive

where the mediocre bask in fame
and the truly great rot in shame
